In short
What is social media marketing in Houston?
Social media marketing in Houston means building for a metro with no single audience. Energy and industrial B2B sells on LinkedIn, the medical corridor sells on credibility and clarity, consumer neighborhoods sell on Instagram, and a large share of the city responds better to Spanish-language content than to translated captions.

Platforms
Platforms that matter in Houston
We would rather run three accounts well than seven badly. Which three depends on your category and your city, not on which platforms are being talked about this year.
| Platform | Note | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Core for Houston consumer, food, fitness and retail brands, especially inside the loop. | Core | |
| Carries the energy, industrial, logistics and medical supply side of the city. Often the primary channel for B2B here. | Core for B2B | |
| Strongest of any major Texas metro for local services, community groups and Spanish-language audiences. | Core for local services | |
| TikTok | Works for Houston food and culture brands with a genuine voice. Weak for B2B. | Category dependent |
| YouTube Shorts | Free distribution for video already produced, useful for how-to and service explainers. | Repurposed |
| Home, interiors, wedding and event brands only. | Category dependent |

Questions
Social media questions.
If yours is not here, send it. We answer these on the first call anyway.
What does social media management cost in Houston?
Retainers start at $1,000 a month, scoped after we review your accounts, your category and how much content already exists. You approve the number before anything starts, and the contract is rolling on 30 days.
Are you based in Houston?
No. 7SEA is based in Los Angeles and works with Texas businesses from there, including Rahr Brewing in Fort Worth. Same time zone band, monthly approved calendars, and nothing in this work requires us to be in the building.
Should our content be in Spanish as well as English?
In many Houston categories, yes, and written natively rather than translated. A translated caption reads like one. Which platforms get bilingual treatment depends on where your customers actually are, which we check before committing.
We sell to other businesses, not consumers. Is social worth it?
In Houston, usually yes, but on LinkedIn rather than Instagram. Energy, industrial, logistics and medical buyers check credibility before they call, and proof of work content does that job. Lifestyle content does not.
Houston is enormous. Do you target by neighborhood?
Where it matters. A brand serving the Heights and a brand serving Katy are selling to different communities, and content and paid targeting both reflect that rather than averaging the city.
Do we need to send you photos every week?
No. We run a quarterly shoot and work from that plus your library, which is why the calendar does not stall when your team gets busy.
Can you run paid social as well?
Yes, as a separate service, and in Houston it usually pays to let organic prove which hooks work before spending behind them.
