What we build

Six kinds of Shopify project we build in San Francisco.

Most San Francisco brands come to us for one of these. If your situation is a mix, we scope it as one project rather than splitting it into retainers.

New build

Store from scratch

A brand new Shopify store for a launching San Francisco D2C brand. Structure, design, build, apps and a launch checklist.

Redesign

Existing store rebuild

Keep the catalogue and history, replace the theme and page structure with a Shopify store built to convert.

Migration

Move to Shopify

Shopify migration from WooCommerce, Wix, GoDaddy, Magento or BigCommerce. Products, customers, orders and redirects.

B2B

Wholesale & B2B

Company accounts, price lists, quantity rules and gated catalogues on Shopify B2B or Shopify Plus.

Custom

Sections & features

Custom Shopify theme sections, metaobject-driven content, bundles, configurators and swatch systems.

Speed

Performance work

App cleanup, image and script work, and theme surgery to pull Core Web Vitals back into green.

Why San Francisco brands work with us

Built for the way Bay Area brands actually sell.

San Francisco brands tend to arrive with a technical opinion already formed, which we like. Here is where we agree with it and where we do not.

Headless only when it earns its keep

We build Hydrogen storefronts, and we will also tell you when a well-built Liquid theme does the same job for a fraction of the budget and none of the maintenance. Most stores do not need headless. The ones that do usually know why already.

Measurement you can actually audit

GA4, Google Tag Manager, server-side tracking and Meta CAPI set up properly, so the numbers in your dashboard and the numbers in the ad account stop disagreeing. Everything sits in your own accounts, not ours.

Same hours as our US office

Our Los Angeles office runs Pacific time, the same clock you do. Calls, reviews and launch-day fixes happen inside your working day, with no overnight gap in the middle of a launch.

We will say when not to rebuild

We have turned down ad retainers for stores that needed a rebuild first, and talked clients out of scope they did not need. If the work will not move your numbers, you hear that before you pay for it.

What is included

Everything in the scope, written down.

No line item appears halfway through the project as an extra. If it is not on this list and you need it, we quote it before we build it.

Client reviews

What clients say after launch.

US brands on builds, redesigns and migrations like the ones we run for Bay Area clients. Ask and we will connect you with any of them directly.

★★★★★

The redesign and the brand identity came out of the same team, so nothing felt bolted on. Ads started a month later and we were already set up to measure them properly.

B2B on Shopify is not simple and most agencies we spoke to did not really understand price lists or company accounts. This team did, and they said upfront what they would not attempt.

We came from GoDaddy with a messy catalog and were dreading the move. Everything came across, the redirects held, and we did not lose a single wholesale account in the switch.

Klaviyo flows we had ignored for a year got rebuilt in a fortnight. Repeat orders are now a line on the report we actually look at.

As a nonprofit our budget was fixed and we said so. They scoped to it instead of quoting up, and the donation flow works on a phone, which was the whole point.

I was learning ecommerce from a course and had no idea what to ask for. They walked me through each decision rather than just building what I said, which saved me from a few bad calls.

Questions

Shopify development in San Francisco, answered.

Do you work with Shopify brands based in San Francisco?

Yes. We work with D2C brands across San Francisco and the wider Bay Area, and remotely across the US. Our offices are in Los Angeles and New Delhi rather than San Francisco, so there is no walk-in address here, but the Los Angeles office runs the same Pacific hours you do.

How long does a Shopify build take?

Two to three weeks for most stores, from kickoff to launch. Large catalogues, B2B setups and multi-market stores take longer, and we say so in the scope before you sign.

How much does a Shopify build cost?

Every quote is flat and fixed to the scope, so there is no hourly billing to watch. Share your store or brief and we send one number with the scope attached before anything starts.

Can you migrate my store to Shopify?

Yes. We handle Shopify migrations from WooCommerce, Wix, GoDaddy, Magento and BigCommerce, including products, customers, order history and a full 301 redirect map so your San Francisco search rankings hold through the move.

Should we go headless with Hydrogen?

Usually not. Headless makes sense when you have a content or app layer Shopify cannot host, a front-end team to maintain it, or storefront requirements a theme genuinely cannot meet. Otherwise a well-built Liquid theme ships faster, costs less and is easier for your team to edit. We build both and will tell you which one your case calls for.

Do you work with Shopify Plus?

Yes, including B2B on Plus, Markets for multi-currency selling and Shopify Flow for automation. Those projects are quoted per scope rather than from a starting price.

Do I own the theme afterwards?

Yes. The theme, the code and the store are yours. We hand over full admin access and a walkthrough so your team can edit sections without coming back to us.

Which Bay Area locations do you serve?

SoMa, the Mission, Hayes Valley, the Financial District, Potrero Hill, the Marina, Oakland and Palo Alto, plus Berkeley, San Jose and remote clients across California and the rest of the US.
