What we do
Fitness marketing, run as one program.
A gym is a local business with a January spike and an eleven month problem. The profile and the site have to earn enquiries year round, and the follow-up has to keep the people the spike brought in.
Google Business Profile and local search
Most gym enquiries start on the map. Categories, photos, class information and review velocity handled before anything else.
Area and class pages
Pages for the areas you draw from and the classes people search by name, rather than one timetable page doing all the work.
Trial and membership ads
Offers built to attract members who stay, not bargain hunters who churn in week six. Measured on retained members, not sign-ups.
Google Ads on intent
Search campaigns for people already looking for a gym near them, with call tracking so walk-in enquiries are counted.
Email and retention flows
Onboarding, attendance nudges and win-back sequences. Cheaper than acquisition and the only thing that fixes March.
Website and sign-up flow
Timetable, pricing and joining tested against drop-off, including what happens to an enquiry that lands at 10pm.
Fit
Whether this is worth a call.
Fitness marketing is easy to spend on and hard to keep. We are useful where retention matters as much as the sign-up.
Good fit
Businesses like these
- Independent gyms, studios and boxes with capacity to add members
- Operators selling memberships rather than one-off sessions
- Owners who will follow up a trial enquiry the same day
- Teams planning past the January spike
Not us
We would point you elsewhere
- Anyone who wants a member count guaranteed in the contract
- Anyone selling transformation claims or before and after promises in ads
- Franchises with no control over their own profile or website
- Operators with no capacity to take new members this quarter
Questions
Before you write in.
If yours is not here, send it. We answer these on the first call anyway.
Have you worked with gyms before?
Not with a gym, and we would rather say so than invent a case study. We have run a US home fitness equipment brand end to end, plus six years of local search work for service businesses, so both halves of this are familiar.
Do free trial offers work?
They bring volume and a lot of churn. A paid intro or a short challenge attracts people who intended to commit, and the retained member count usually ends up higher even with fewer sign-ups.
How do we deal with the January spike?
Plan for it in October and budget for the drop. Acquisition spend concentrated in the window, retention flows ready before the members arrive, then a quieter always-on program through the year.
Can we run transformation ads?
Not the before and after kind. Health ad policy restricts imagery and copy that implies a personal health outcome, and those accounts get restricted. Ads sell the training and the room instead.
How do you measure lead quality?
By retained members at ninety days, not sign-ups. Any agency reporting only enquiries can make a bad month look excellent.
How long before local rankings move?
Three to six months for most local terms. Proximity is the strongest factor, so the results are strongest in the areas closest to the gym.
