Jewelry marketing, run as one program.
Jewelry has the highest average order value most stores will ever work with and the longest consideration window. Almost everything that goes wrong happens on the product page, or in the three weeks after someone first sees the piece.
Shopify store design and development
Built for a catalog where metal, stone, carat, size and finish are all variants at once, without the product page collapsing into a dropdown nobody understands.
Product pages that describe the piece properly
Metal and purity, stone type and origin where you have it, dimensions in millimetres, weight, chain length, clasp, finish and care. In jewelry the specification is the sales copy, not an afterthought below it.
Meta and Instagram ads
Creative produced in-house, catalog ads on a clean feed, and campaigns measured on new customer cost rather than blended ROAS, because retargeting takes easy credit in a long-consideration category.
Google Ads and Shopping
Feed first, with material, stone, carat and gender attributes filled properly, because that decides which jewelry searches you qualify for at all.
Fit
Whether this is worth a call.
Jewelry rewards accuracy and punishes overclaiming harder than any category we work in. We are useful to brands and stores willing to describe the piece properly, less useful to everyone else.
Good fit
Brands and stores like these
- Jewelry brands and online stores, fine, demi-fine, silver or fashion
- Personalised and made-to-order pieces
- Stores on Shopify, or moving to it
- Anyone whose returns are mostly sizing rather than taste
- Catalogs where metal, stone and size variants have become unmanageable
- Retailers with a shop who want the online side taken seriously
Not us
We would point you elsewhere
- Footfall-only shops with nothing selling online
- Anyone wanting claims written more aggressively than the facts support
- Ads turned on this week with the product pages left as they are
- Percentage-of-spend media buying only
- Wholesale and trade show representation
- Anyone asking for guaranteed sales in the first month
Questions
Before you write in.
If yours is not here, send it. We answer these on the first call anyway.
How much does marketing cost for a jewelry brand or store?
Most jewelry businesses spend $1,000 to $5,000 a month depending on channels and content volume. We start at $1,500 a month for organic and content, with ads management quoted separately at $1,000 to $2,000 a month depending on scope. Rolling 30-day contract, and you own every account.
Our average order value is high and sales are slow. Is that a problem?
No, that is the category. Jewelry buyers often take weeks and several visits, which makes browse abandonment email, retargeting and trust content far more important than they are in a low-value category. It also means judging a campaign on seven-day results will mislead you every time.
Most of our returns are sizing. What actually fixes that?
Sizing content, not the returns policy. Printable ring gauges, chain lengths shown on a real neck, millimetre dimensions, and a short explanation of how a piece sits when worn. Offering resizing clearly also converts better than a generous returns window, because the customer keeps the piece.
Can you write our product copy if we sell lab-grown or plated pieces?
Yes, and we write it conservatively. US jewelry advertising rules govern how terms like gold, plated, vermeil, lab-grown and treated may be used, so the copy states what the piece actually is. If something needs your gemologist or your lawyer to confirm, we will say so rather than guess.
Do we need new photography?
Often some of it. Jewelry is the hardest category to photograph well, and flat studio stills are why so many stores look interchangeable. We start with what you have, tell you honestly which pieces are being let down by their images, and plan a shoot around the lines carrying the business.
When should we plan campaigns?
Around the jewelry calendar rather than the retail one. Engagement season, Valentine's, Mother's Day and Q4 gifting are the real windows, and the creative and email for each need to be finished weeks before they open.
We have a physical store as well. Can you help with that?
Through the online side. We build and run the ecommerce store, the ads and the email, which often brings people into the shop too. If what you want is footfall campaigns with nothing selling online, we are the wrong agency and will say so on the first call.
