In short
What is social media marketing in Chicago?
Social media marketing in Chicago is neighborhood work on a seasonal calendar. Audiences identify with their part of the city before they identify with the city, and the year splits hard between a long indoor winter and a dense summer of festivals and patios, which changes what should be posted and when budget is worth spending.

Platforms
Platforms that matter in Chicago
We would rather run three accounts well than seven badly. Which three depends on your category and your city, not on which platforms are being talked about this year.
| Platform | Note | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Core for Chicago food, fitness, retail and hospitality, with neighborhood-level content. | Core | |
| Carries manufacturing, logistics, finance and professional services. | Core for B2B | |
| Still strong for neighborhood groups, suburbs and local services. | Core for local services | |
| TikTok | Works for food, nightlife and younger consumer brands. | Category dependent |
| YouTube Shorts | Extra distribution for vertical video already made. | Repurposed |
| Home, interiors and wedding brands. | Category dependent |

Questions
Social media questions.
If yours is not here, send it. We answer these on the first call anyway.
How much does social media management cost in Chicago?
Retainers start at $1,500 a month, scoped after we review your accounts, your category and how much content already exists. You approve the number before anything starts, and the contract is rolling on 30 days with no lock-in.
How many social media platforms do you manage?
We work across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest. Most brands run two or three of them properly rather than all six thinly, and which two or three depends on your category and where buyers in your city actually spend their time.
What type of content do you create?
Statics, carousels, reels and stories, mixed to suit the platform and the goal. Reels and short video do the discovery work, carousels explain and teach, statics carry offers and brand, and stories handle the day to day.
Do you use AI to design social media content?
Yes, as a production tool. The difference is the output: our AI work is finished to look like real photography and real design, not the obvious AI look most tools produce. You can review samples before committing.
We have no photos or raw content. Can you still run our social media?
Yes. Where raw content does not exist we build the calendar from AI-produced visuals and copyright-free stock, finished to match your brand. Once we have shoot material from you, it replaces that mix gradually rather than all at once.
What do we actually receive each month?
A content calendar approved before anything publishes, then 15 to 30 pieces of finished content depending on scope, scheduled and published, with comments and DMs handled daily and a monthly report on what moved.
What is your process for social media management in Chicago?
Brand audit first, then deep-dive research into your category and local competitors, then a content plan. The plan is shared with you for approval before any design work starts, and only then does production and scheduling begin.
How do local businesses get customers from Instagram in Chicago?
With neighborhood-level content. Chicago audiences identify with their neighborhood before the city, so naming it correctly in posts and targeting it properly in paid does more than city-wide reach ever will.
Which social media platform is best for a small business in Chicago?
Instagram and Facebook for consumer and neighborhood businesses, LinkedIn for manufacturing, logistics and professional services. Chicago has a deeper B2B base than its consumer reputation suggests, and that audience is not on Instagram.
Is social media marketing worth it for a small business in Chicago?
For local consumer businesses, usually yes. For manufacturers and logistics firms, only if the effort goes to LinkedIn, where the buyers actually are. Running Instagram for a B2B supplier here is the most common wasted retainer.
Is 7SEA based in Chicago?
No. 7SEA runs Chicago accounts from Los Angeles, two hours behind Central, which leaves the whole afternoon as shared working hours. The calendar is approved a month ahead, DMs are handled daily, reporting is written, and travel is never billed.
