What this app collects when you install it on your Shopify store, how it's used, and your rights over your data. Written plainly, no jargon.

Information we collect

When you install 7SEA WebP Converter ("the App"), we access and store the following through the Shopify API:

  • Store and account information — store name, store owner name, store email address, and store phone number. We use this only to provide support, communicate about your account, and operate the App.
  • Image metadata — URLs, file sizes, alt text, and conversion history for images in your store. This is required for the App's core function (scanning, converting, and rolling back images).
  • Image backups — a full-quality copy of each original image before conversion, stored so you can restore it at any time with one click.
  • Usage data — the number of conversions performed, used to apply plan limits and billing.

We do not collect, store, or process any data about your customers.

How we use information

We use the information above only to operate the App: converting images, keeping backups for rollback, showing usage statistics, applying plan limits, and providing merchant support. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.

Data storage and third parties

App data is stored on Railway (cloud hosting provider) infrastructure. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify's Billing API — we never see or store your payment details.

Data retention and deletion

  • When you uninstall the App, all stored data for your store — including owner contact details, image backups, conversion history, and usage records — is deleted automatically.
  • We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. A shop/redact request permanently deletes all data we hold for the store.
Uninstalling the App triggers automatic deletion of everything we hold for your store. Nothing is retained.

Your rights

You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Uninstalling the App also triggers automatic deletion as described above.
